Materials | Upcycled cotton bedsheet, naturally dyed with onion skins

This dress was created in the depths of 2020, a year that taught us the immense value of what had easily been taken for granted: health, community, the embrace of a loved one, and even clean air. Through it all, the sun — as an unwavering source of warmth and light — has served as a reminder that there is so much to be thankful for. “Sunshine” is an embodiment of positivity, inspired and modeled by Meia Alsup.

This project was proudly crafted using only post-consumer materials. Onion skins were collected over a period of two months and subsequently boiled to extract a vibrant yellow dye.
