Materials | thrifted evening gown
Extravagant, expensive, extra. This outfit was inspired by summer days and all things extra, designed as one of my looks for Coachella 2020. Beautifully embroidered evening gown sourced from Destined for Grace thrift store in Santa Barbara.
Due to the expensive material — this was the priciest item I have thrifted to date — I was especially meticulous throughout the entire process. Below is a photo of my initial concept sketch, which was followed by a couple iterations of pattern making, and then final sewing.
